Honestly I agree on everything except one thing, raid matchmaking. I wish bungie push it as a beta test and lets see how it goes. Their first take was guided games, which didn’t really work out, maybe an inbuild lfg would be nice.

  • GG didn't work out because it was incredibly hard to setup as the hosts and had tons of QoL issues like if someone in your fireteam got dc'd, the game took that as them abandoning the activity and locked them out. The actual in-game matchmaking experience worked. We ran it many times as hosts and had one failure to complete and that was because of the DC issues. Never once got paired with a toxic player or had a bad experience with the random. There's literally no difference in quality of match vs off site LFGs. The people using it are people who want to be there and are serious about doing the raids.

  • I did a couple of Guided Games and the connection problem was such a pain, but that's a separate issue. I think on PC it would be easier to do matchmaking as there is text chat and communication can be done but how are you gonna set up roles when for example you get someone who doesn't have a mic or who doesn't even speak your language. I do not agree with you about the anyone who is there wants to do it, look at matchmaking on any other thing, there are people who go afk in gambit, in crucible, in strikes and even in forges. Reckoning T2 was so annoying the first week it was out, everyone was so low leveled and when you get 1 or 2 people afking you will end up wasting time.

  • It really wasn't hard to guide, you needed the minimum required clan members and launched it. Literally had a team in seconds. It was hard to seek, the players we picked up had been waiting for 30 plus minutes. Also had a guy get kicked on the way into Calus but he joined back in no problem, but he didn't get the emblem for guiding. There weren't enough guides to make it work.

  • Not sure how they joined back no problem because the lockouts were real and we experienced it many times and had to regroup with the random outside of GG. But to your point, yes the raids weren't any more difficult and the system worked but not enough teams were willing to lead.
