To be fair in many cases the crowning achievement of a game isn't always the one that most of its player base has accomplished. Even in games like Diablo, a huge part of the player base never reaches what would be called the true end game (doing things like greater rift 110 and above), where the real challenge begins. Same thing goes for games like boarder lands, and most MMOs, where the true end game content is actually not completed by a lot of its players because it is more difficult, in one way or another. But again fixing already existing systems like the guided games one, could make those numbers at least a little bit higher, so as to more effectively include those that actually do what to try that true end game content. As for crucible, I can't really speak much on the matter, I have disliked crucible throughout destiny 1 and 2, so I tend to stay far away from it. But as far as I have seen the match making is pretty terrible when it comes to matching pre made teams against solo players. Which is strange because it is clear the system could have ways of easily being fix so as to see who is in a group and who isn't. Yet in all this time they have never bothered to even try fixing it. Seems strange to me, but I don't really play crucible so I guess, what do I know.

  • Honestly if guided games worked right I'd probably have completed at least one raid by now. I feel the same way about going on lfg for things as you do about crucible so I can completely understand. I have no problem with raids being the pinnacle activity for the game, in fact I actually kind of like that they have something like that. Plus the teams that work on Raids and PvP are totally different so its not a matter of manpower when it comes to favoring one over the other. I honestly just don't know how PvP didn't end up becoming as big as it could have. Well actually I do know how... team-based matchmaking that's quite uninviting to solo players, and a few other things that I've babbled about on here far too much over the course of the last year and a half. But you are right about the Raids in that getting as many people to play an activity at any cost doesn't necessarily produce the best activity. I just don't understand that we are a year now without any new PvP content. The Crucible community being toxic or whatever is absolutely no excuse. Especially given what has been going on around PvE nerfs on here lately.

  • Guided Games does work. The problem is that its a long queue line. The number of seekers outweigh the number of guides by about 100 to 1. So for a raid, no way should you expect a raid to finish within an hour just to bring you on board. Besides, its usually the bad raid groups who are desperate enough to gamble on picking up a seeker. They are way better off finding someone more qualified and willing to raid through LFG. Thats just reality. If you really wanted to raid, start your own group through LFG. Be honest. Pick up other newbies like yourself. Its rude when a noobie player cries fowl for not getting into raid groups. They are not there to sherpa, but to get stuff done. 1 hr max and theyre off with other things to do. No one has time to be teaching a noobie for 4+ hours.
