Most players don’t do raids. That’s a fact. As a full time Social Worker and a father I don’t have time for hours + long raids. I just don’t. I don’t really think replaying raids is a very fun endgame any how. Most players don’t bother with raids because of a plethora of reasons, which could include time commitment, unable to find friendly teammates, etc. The non raider is the majority in this community and deserves to have content for them.
If those that don’t raid don’t show up to Destiny in the future, the raider will not have a game. 5%-10% of the player population is not enough to maintain this game. Bungie won’t make a game just for raiders.( at least they shouldn’t.)
Also a game that doesn’t have match making for all or almost all activities is a poor choice. We shouldn’t have to go outside the game to find a team.

I will say this to you, you should be able to experience the raid because they are a ton of fun and probably the best thing about destiny when everything works as intended. It's just like i have said, bungie doesn't have systems in place to promote people to get into them well enough if they don't already have a team made to do so. This is something they can fix easily as i have stated in this thread, and if they did what i have suggested i would bet everything i own they would see the biggest increase they have ever seen in raid activity from people who have never stepped foot into one and more than likely completion rates for those groups as well. People aren't stupid, it's just the current system takes too long to find a group having to go to a 3rd party website have people drop in out and or not getting enough players etc. A pre made group finder would work wonders here.

I agree with this. Maybe if they put out more shorter raids. Seems like it would be the same amount of work and same amount of content but you could break up the content easier and not be stuck raiding for hours. In D1 I raided a lot. I was all about AoT of Wrath was my favorite raid. But now I have a child and a demanding job, I guess raiding is a little too much for me now as this current system is.

I’m sorry you can’t experience what is, in my opinion, the absolute best part of destiny. Nothing beats finishing it the first time, or getting the drop you always wanted, or being a Sherpa and helping people.

In D1 I raided all the time. But I had a easier job and no kid. The time commitment isn’t realistic any more.

if you dont have time because reasons it doesnt mean otehrs should play a dumbed down game also, it does not requier time to raid I did both LW and SOTP on reset day on 3 characters No one cares about your life circumstances, btw with a life as busy as yours (family, work , parenting and whatnot) why are you buying video games????

Please tell me what's so hard about destiny that you think would need to be dumbed down it's literally all just hit this amount of item level and you'll be able to do the necessary damage to things to kill them in a reasonable amount of time or without dying quicker than they do. Because that is literally 95% of the challenge in destiny is hitting the item level requirements the mechanics in the raids aren't challenging in the grand scheme of things.

And you're exactly the kind of person that reminds me of why I don't Raid: no one cares that you "did both LW and SOTP on reset day on 3 characters". ;)
