Actually, matchmaking in raids is the perfect solution, and MUCH better than Guided Games.
Instead of just watching videos and then trying to find an experienced group, newcomers could experience the raids without worrying about elitists. After they have experience, these gamers could then join raid groups through LFG. Or they could form their own group with others they have met through matchmaking.
As for the rewards, limit the rewards for matchmaking in raids to strike level rewards. To obtain the better rewards would require LFG and an organized team.
As for the rewards, limit the rewards for matchmaking in raids to strike level rewards. To obtain the better rewards would require LFG and an organized team.
Why? Randos matched together would have to work just as hard as an LFG team or a clan team to get the rewards. They shouldn’t be limited just because they were matched with other players. Heck, they’d probably have to play even harder since it would almost be a guarantee that newcomers would be involved.

It'll be tons of fun not progressing past the first encounter after 5 hours then having people quit, then waiting another hour for someone to join. Not saying there shouldn't be optional matchmaking. . Just saying that it would never get used

It would get used a lot because there would be far less time with matchmaking than trying to find a group willing to accept an inexperienced player. Also, experience is better than just watching videos.

It'll be a lot of nothing getting done. Not sure if that counts as experience
