If you are very skilful:
Solo players can get Luna & Recluse.
Nightfall’s can be soloed. Same as Zero Hour, Whisper, Thorn.
The only thing that can’t be soloed are raids.
I am not that good, I used to play solo and used to think like you but because I really wanted to do Nightfalls and Raids and some quest I used this app and also joined a clan.
There are some very nice guardians, and playing with others is so different than playing solo. It can be lots of fun plus one can learn so much. Think sports, it is very different solo sports like martial arts or boxing to team sports like basketball or football.
Team needs communication, different rolls, strategy, etc. Team activities are not just about shooting adds. It is a complete different dimension. Give it a try you will be surprised, or just become better and then you can solo most things.

Your whole post also fits right into the OP's point about social players' lack of empathy for solo players. Try and see this from a solo player's perspective: what is there for the average, not extremely good, solo player? What kind of fun activities are there for them to do that won't end up bringing utter frustration? You also missed the point of the OP. They're saying that a better solo experience does not affect the social players. The game needs players right now, and catering only to social players, or using heavy-handed encouragement to party-up (like what The Whisper and Zero Hour do with their timers) is not going to bring more people in: it's only going to drive the solo players away, which has already happened. Zero Hour, The Whisper and Chasm of Screams are extremely annoying to solo and are clearly built for fireteams. Yes, they are soloable, but not by the average player, and certainly not by those without 8+ hours a day to spend on Destiny.

Look this game specifically says is for teams, yet I played solo for a long time and used to be casual and found there was plenty to do. The post mentions the shattered throne, you know what, I tried soloing it and it’s pretty involved, so if a person has the time to do that, well it contradicts the casual part. And if someone has the time and skill to solo the shattered throne then I do not think they are casual, and think they can work on soloing other high end content. The post asks for matchmaking for high end team activities that require lots of team work and that is absurd. Look at the Reckoning t2 or T3, if you go solo most times you don’t pass the bridge and redoing it till you get a lucky team, well you just waisted too much time, and if you are casual you just wasted you little time. Raids are involved and need way more time.
