They weren't as prominent when autos were good. Thats partly why people hated that meta, they couldn't use hand canons. They either need to be nerfed in some way which people don't want, or movement speed has to slow down a smidge. People claim map size is the issue but fail to realise that if the maps are too big, half the weapons in the game will never be useful. If the maps are too small, shotgun/hand canons will reign supreme because guardian movement speed in D2 is hella fast. Even the biggest maps in D2 are small. Widows court felt bigger in D1 despite being the same size because we move faster now. Stompees, top tree dawnblade, etc.
