Lobby balancing is so bad. So so so freaking bad
It's like the game is literally build to make lopsided pisspoor experiences in pvp... lopsided blowout matches. Match after match.. 🤮

2 RepliesReading this, it’s weird that I’ve had the opposite experience. To me, SBMM actually felt like most of the time it would put me in a fun and competitive lobby instead of the usual try-hard sweaty one sided dumpster fire. But I suck at pvp, so it’s possible that if you’re good, you might get thrown in with the sweats a lot?

I played a lot of pvp yesterday and it was terrible. I had a lot of losses. But the wins felt terrible as well like they were unfulfilling. Nothing about those wins had me thinking “this was amazing!” Every match was terrible and frustrating. First of all stacks got put on the same team smh. You got a stack of 3 AND a stack of 2 and they were put against us six randoms. Normally I don’t complain about weapons but I’m sick of le monarque. I’d rather deal with someone using jotunn because I can roll out of the way or bait someone to use up all their shots. But le monarque? It’s got infinite ammo. That means someone can keep shooting. Can I counter it? Sure and I have but it doesn’t mean it’s not ridiculous. Almost EVERY match had at least 1 person using it. And I move around. When I’m shooting I go in and out of cover. When you get hit you have to instantly retreat. I hate bows in pvp.

3 RepliesTrials is the same, I lost like 15 games in a row 5-0, I had 0 wins & was playing people going flawless, gilded flawless guys, n i got Mr dual shotgun & Mr dual AR. I looked n my teams had between 2-5% win chance Almost like they don't want us to play the game

Oh, the wonders of my beloved SBMM. On one side, the crowd that complains about "blowout matches". On the other my crowd, being happy to have close call games every match. I know a lot of you folks don't like it. But I am having the intended experience with it and I am not even the target audience.

Especially funny considering with SBMM you would think that theoretically you would get more even matches but not really the case so makes you wonder wtf is the point of SBMM then?! Lol

3 RepliesPlaying Trials in freelance.. very few competitive games. It’s either 5-0 or 0-5. Hardly ever comes down to the wire. Kinda sad to load into a no-win game half the matches.

7 Repliesiron banner last time around was the worst. way worse than trials. i was playing tougher opponents in iron banner than in trials which I could not figure out. the lobbies were always lopsided with mercy being called way too often. iron banner was unplayable and it needs some type of sbmm with eruption. previous iron banners were not that bad.

Hopefully Sony brings in more skilled and knowledgeable personnel. We can’t expect anything from the current group and their management. The only thing they excel at is making the game worse.

What’s weird is that I played Halo Reach PvP till Destiny launched. Even when there were only 1500 people matchmaking… in the world, the games were still mostly ok.

Late in any season is when the PvP is at it's worst, lower player count and higher density of PvP mains / LFG stomp parties. Once the new season starts and coming matchmaking options are available I suspect things will improve. 100 to 150 games are better than it used to be though I was on the wrong end of a 90 to 8 mercy during IB facing an LFG stomp so looking forward to those scummers being history.

Not enough people anymore to sustain sbmm so it's back to cbmm being that it is loose sbmm rather than total. If it was total sbmm the really good players probably wouldn't be able to play at all and everyone else would have longer queue times. The game in its current state is laziness and will fail if this season model continues and nerfs toncire aspects to the game. I'm still surprised they did not buff the warlock but gave it a nerf instead.
