Specials shouldn't be used in the air. This was a good change. We should be able to give up something to spec into increased AE with Primary weapons. We need armor mods or AE Fragments or maybe tie AE into Mobility. I also think handcannons should have a slightly higher base AE than they currently have (but maybe the usage rates don't support that point of view). Right now, only a few Class-specific Exotics provide the AE bonus necessary to make Primaries consistent in the air. What if I want to jump-shot with an SMG on my Hunter (no Peacekeepers)? Or with a Handcannon on my Titan (no Lucky Pants)? Warlocks have "Heat Rises", but a high AE stat shouldn't be locked behind a single subclass. My only concern with improving AE is that a high AE stat benefits Hunters more than the other classes due to their unique jump. Hunters are already overused, and I don't want to exacerbate the issue

  • I disagree, shotgunning in an r has been a staple in the gameplay and not being able to jump and shoot accurately regardless of being a special or primary has always been one of the alluring and unique aspects of destiny gunplay. It’s a differentiator of the current fps genre and one of the elements that most enjoy. They only needed it because the devs and internal staff couldn’t compete with the other high skill players and/or catering to casual players that cannot look up. In other words, close the skill gap that’s all they’ve done in this game is close the skill gap
