Match making in Iron Banner is a disgrace!
Do Bungie not even play test? Long long terms, completely uneven match making! Perfect way to ruin what used to be a good game mode

I checked every game. Their stats are .... That is the reason way games are -blam!-. People playing together makes for lag. Because of how bungies networking/netcode works. Just bring freelance back and introduce a Team balancing system that works. 2023 still no Dedicated servers or a ping check system to see if a connection is bad.

It feels like it completely disregards skill in favor of somewhat similar fireteams sizes. My team will have 2 sub par duos, me, and another solo where the other team will have a sweaty 3 stack, a sweaty duo, and a low skill solo. There’s no “balance” at all. Those graphs they showed must have been a sample size of like 10 or 25 games. Laughable at best.

Worst is solo, getting into a game of two teams of 5 and the team you happen to be in on is losing on purpose and there is nothing you can do.

The matchmaking take forever just to match enemy team at your level and out all the worst players on your team lol it’s so bad

4 RepliesPeople just don’t capture and think they Rambo.. sitting on a capture and everyone is running to the enemy and dying then am left against the enemy team spawning behind me. Just capture and if you can hold the 2 closest and just pick them off. It’s not rocket science

just checking in between queues where i just lost a 6v5 because thats how bad of players it is continually sticking on my team. this is after running off of the cliff for 3 games straight because i was given at least 2afk players per game trying to get my KDA down so i can get a decent match. sadly all this for a shotgun with PVE perks cause thats where bungie feels like is a great place to earn that weapon. real sweet event bungie.

I agree. My 6th/7th match tonight finally learned to capture zones. Just say no commendations if we lose the match and works.

11 RepliesBungie: Our charts, graphs and numbers say you're wrong and our hodgepodge matchmaking is absolutely 1000% perfect with no lag, complete balance between all players and totally not a mess of lopsided teams with long streaks of getting Mercy ruled with no end on sight. Oh and our "fire team" based matchmaking totally doesn't match a bunch solo queues up against a full team or two teams of 3 all the time. Nope. Not. At. All. Community: but... Bungie: graphs 😗📈

I'm not even that good and when I see the other team has all these fancy emblems when I have the highest k/d on my team I know it's going to be a bad time since the match isn't balanced properly.

It must be a regional thing(I play out of Aus) the vast majority of my games were well balanced, only came up against stacked teams of super heroes a couple of times.

If sbmm hasn't completely ruined pvp, let's top it off by not allowing you to stack up w your friends. Unless all 6 ppl are pvp sweats you're going to lose. IB use to be a mode my clan looked forward to, we would have 2 or 3 squads running at the same time. We are not solely pvp focused and now it's just constant 2.5+kd "pvp is my life"6 stacks if you even dare get a squad together. This f#$cking sucks bungie

Running solo I lose with a 2.0 constantly. With my clan we steamroll everyone. Solo is never gonna be an easy PvP session in Iron Banner. Get a team and communicate.

What's really funny is players finding a way around sbmm then continue to complain about sbmm. Your the problem if this is you just so you know.

I think it has to do more with crossplay and the lag we see all over the game these days. Sometimes my shots are registering and sometimes they are not.

This is why I play iron banner on the weekend really late at night. You get more honest matches. Go in at high tide and your gonna get farmed by the guys pretending to be a .5 KDA on they're alternate accounts.
