Here's hoping we enter another collapse, and start working on putting humpty Dumpty together again.
Still think the traveler is vex in nature, and was a prediction engine of sorts.

I think the Vex are going to turn out to be human in nature. There’s still a lot we don’t know about Clovis and the Vex’s origins are unknown. Maybe they’re the ultimate form of humans corrupted by the darkness or something

I've always thought as a head theory that the vex could be the awoken left behind in the distributableary (can't remember the spelling) since time goes ALOT faster there

Oh don't get me wrong very much they are in some ways. It goes back to evolution. Take the idea of moving a consciousness, the sense of self, and moving that tether to another body. So there are a lot of tests. How they would look? All the steps to digitize the brainwaves, test functionality both physical and metaphysical. And what is the shape of thought, how do we say for certain we have captured the nature of man, the essence of being. Then, we show everyone, what was the purpose. A prediction engine with near fidelity, we say near, it wasn't really wrong ever. But do we admit we are only the product of a machines thought...and I say yes, or me myself, not architect mind...it's a self absorbed thought on creation, this important entity, but you don't want it to be in reality...as it will control...everything, and we shouldn't want that. Even if that is what is happening. So we need to define freewill. What does that definition LOOK like in a reality beset by prediction engines?

I suppose it's possible that it was a ridiculously powerful vex mind that went too far back in time, and got cut off and repurposed by the... Gardener? Or maybe whatever that one force light and dark used to be.
