As we see in the key art released for Into The Light, it seems Ahsa’s visions are going to come true and the Pyramids will be invading the Last City alongside Xivu Arath’s armada (appears to be a congregation of Sol forces, not her actual brood which we have yet to see). We even see a rebuilt D1 tower in the background, and Scorpius turrets painted in Vanguard colors & symbology.
We ourselves have our own armada above the Last City in the form of the Coalition, consisting of Vanguard, Caiatl Ascendancy, House of Light, & Awoken ships. This got me thinking - will this result in a cataclysmic battle in the Last City between Light-aligned factions and Darkness-aligned factions? I know it’s definitely wishful thinking, but it would be so cool to see a cutscene of the invasion!
Anyhow, what do you guys theorize or speculate is going on here? Will Xivu Arath become a Disciple given her loss of power, or will Kelgorath lead these Hive forces? Will only the Dark Hive invade alongside the Pyramids or will other factions that serve the Witness join the invasion as well? What will the activity in the Last City be like? I’m so hyped we are finally getting an invasion of the Last City by the Pyramids, even if it isn’t the premise of an entire expansion. I’m really excited to see what you guys think!!

Here's hoping we enter another collapse, and start working on putting humpty Dumpty together again. Still think the traveler is vex in nature, and was a prediction engine of sorts. **Unraveling loops, giving endings, taking endings**

Into the light is simply one of the few working aspects they have from final shape. It would’ve probably been the intro had it came out in time.

If you think we are getting that kind of content, in a free update You haven't been paying attention

Also they need a war map, like I had suggested at least a year ago, before beyond light I think. Helldiver's is doing this, a push and pull map, war...you need a large city like map for 3d combat (above, ground, below(sewers), objectives flow with sector needing to be taken or defended, along with Intel gathering (RIP design), among other things in a large map. Combat definitely needs to feel more weighted, ghaul had the right idea, we don't fear death and people fly off the rails looking for someone to turn into a gun...while the game has been trying to state we are also super greedy and need to be checked...so here's hoping for combat...evolved.

It'll be a lame throw-away activity like every season. Can't "over-deliver" cause then we'd expect them to do something worthwhile.

I assume the sudden mobilisation of the Pyramid Fleet relates to Crow ending up in the Pale Heart. The Witness is busy attempting to forge a connection with the Light, notices a Guardian has somehow managed to follow it and decides to split its focus and destroy the Guardians before we replicate this feat and flood into the Pale Heart to try and stop it.

I wouldn’t be hyped at all. This was meant to be released after TFS. As part of the Hive story that comes after. Their just butchering crap to throw something at you to keep you engaged. A real crap way to tell a story. Just Willy Nilly moving stories around like they are Lego’s. Talk about a studio that craps on its own material.
-
And just as we are losing the war the Dead Orbit fleet will come back for an epic save.

It is too early to say, but I am not feeling hyped about it, the Last City has been invaded by several factions already so that story has been done before. Guess the Hive want their turn, though one could argue Savathun already was here, even if she was the only one. The armada above the Last City has to count for something, they just let the Pyramids get that close to drop off their tech?

I am excited to see it too, and the best part is we won't need to wait until April to start seeing what it is about. We have live-streams over the next three weeks about the content that will be released in Into the Light. It is a great way to add to the story as a result of the delay. It'd just feel odd if we had to wait an extra three months for the Final Shape with the story just locked in stasis. Now, there appears to be an actual response to Crow successfully traveling through the portal. The Witness' forces know something happened, and this is their response before Crow can fully make it through and build the path for us. We only have to wait until next Tuesday to start getting an answer.
