Chris Proctor Just confirmed that all enhanceable weapons will not be able to have the barrel and magazines swappable. This is an unbelievably huge mistake as i thought that everyone collectively agreed that it was a good thing that we still needed to grind for that roll we wanted but had some safety net with the barrels and mags. Guess that -blam!- is out the window. Good ol bungie, 2 steps forward 4 steps back.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 3/29/2024 2:22:51 PMYou can enhance anything in column 3 and 4, including double perks but you can’t change the barrel, mag or master work. They are best in class and S tier weapons. If you want that 5 out of 5 you have to get it the old fashioned way. Players will all be able to easily gain the curated rolls every week by doing a bounty.

Barrels and mags rarely ever matter. I almost never look at them unless I need something specific like spike nades or impact casing. The stats are nice but on most weapons the third and fourth column are what actually matters.
-
Not making them craftable was the biggest L. Bungie in witch queen..."we want to make most of D2 guns craftable" And now we get very few actually craftable weapons.
-
Just as expected. Biggest L is only new weapons can be enhanced. Yet another soft sunset.
-
Seriously?! That sucks. The system is already in the game and it’s obviously just a change to increase grind
-
I can do that in D1 😎

Are you saying that we should be able to craft the weapons that become enhanceable? That would be cool.

Guess that -blam!- is out the window. Good ol bungie, 2 steps forward 4 steps back.[/quote] Why would you expect to be given the ability to change the barrel and mag perks? They only ever stated that the third and fourth column perks would be retroactively enhanceable, nothing more, nothing less. These aren’t crafted weapons nor are they Adept raid weapons. This is simply a case of you assuming something when there was zero reason to do so and then proceeding to get butt hurt about it because the scenario you created in your own head didn’t come to fruition. You also stating that you “thought everyone collectively agreed” just further illustrates your ability to make assumptions. This isn’t two steps forwards and four steps back, it’s quite literally just two steps forward because instead of none of these weapons changing at all, they can now have their main perks enhanced. There are zero negatives that come with this change, only a positive. It’s really not rocket science lol. 🤦🏻♂️

If that's the case I might as well delete the 6 Slammers I kept without Swordmaster's Guard. -blam!-!
