Worst Trials week in history
If this is their answer to special id rather have that -blam!- kill meter to generate special over this hunk of trash. It's non stop shotgun and fusion rifles. -blam!- there enough special for me to actually utilize a special ONLY loadout.
Edit: honestly wasn't expecting a moderator to see this post but here we are. The only thing I could compare this week of Trials to is the First Trials of the Nine in the Curse of Osiris DLC and Xur had Prometheus Lens for sale.
Edit 2: this week is so bad that I honestly want to quit this game until final shape and never touch it again but I can't since I bought the collectors Ed gotta see it through
Edit 3: I still have yet to go flawless because every match it's Forerunners and brain dead teammates literally watched one backpeddle off the map and made us lose a game because of that. It's win a match next game go against Zeus, Ares, and Kratos on the other team meanwhile I get the Bunger from the game Bugsnax and Elmo running off trying to give the enemy team hugs...

55 RepliesWe've seen plenty of feedback and data on PvP special ammo economy as we've tried various options over the past couple of Seasons, with the goal of designing a more robust ammo system for a future season. We want to stress that finding the right system is an ongoing effort. Trials special ammo distribution will use crates again this weekend, but fewer overall crates will be available. Beginning next week, Trials will return to the ammo meter system. We’ll keep working on refinements around special ammo economy and, in the meantime, we appreciate your feedback.

Just a couple tips that I found helpful... Run elsie's with conditional because you can beat forerunner by peek shooting and they usually don't have a shotgun equipped so easy win in close range

Then when you need to win the 2nd game to keep the streak going (and from taking a win)... You get matches with GOD TIER PLAYERS. Rinse and repeat. It's almost like you guys are doing this on purpose, to keep players logged in grinding for numbers. It's just ironic how one match you're paired with people with 5 thumbs, then the match you need to keep the streak going ....the matchmaking just goes ballistic. Very odd indeed. Persistence card is a joke.

It just doesn’t make sense to me how they focus on this whole special ammo bar and primary gunplay and then they seem to have a good base to start at that people seem to like, then they just go and try something completely different like ammo crates that they could’ve just tried out in the experimental crucible playlist that they made for a reason. Sometimes it seems like the crucible strike team is multiple different groups of people coming up with multiple different ideas.

1 ReplyI did the persistence card. (i'm glad it exists) Got a pve roll, Come to think of it that's my third adept weapon from persistence and each one after going through all that to get them are worthless rolls. I haven't the heart to just straight up delete them... XD

They could easily do the points system , get X amount of points during trials weekend and go to the lighthouse, even that wouldn't be easy or a free ride. Plus it would bring players back into pvp . It wouldn't matter how many cheaters you match against , or pvp only players. Granted getting enough points would be difficult depending what bungie has the limit at. but its at least a option if a player wants to grind for the lighthouse. As it stands now its not worth it facing cheats and pvp mains. The game mode is flat with little to no growth.

I had less fun than usual but Bungie just thought to themselves let’s show them what special ammo can really do and then the special meter hate will disappear. And we got Forerunner paired with shottys and fusion. It’ll be the same next week too because u get 8 shots of forerunner and 2 fusion shots for 1 special brick.

If the green was tuned down(looking at you Halo 1 pistol). This wouldn't have been bad. Also, having three depots versus four would be good, too. Because of the power of the green, I got teammates breaking off running across the map to grab more.

Was personally not a fan. I feel, in particular, the crates mesh very poorly with the dominion objective often having ppl go away from the objectives to get special then spamming it till one team loses, mostly out of luck in solos. This may have worked back when it was elim, and rounds were longer, but I still prefer the meter system.
