Rewards need to be better, not easy, but better!

I've been enjoying the current activity, of course it could be better, but it's good to spend some time. But for God's sake, it's really annoying to drop weapons in exclusive versions. I wanted to keep one with a good roll for each, but this drop system is simply horrible. It's not even something that with enough time you're guaranteed to achieve, it's just suffocating the amount of time you play and you might not even get what you want. They could introduce some way to drop it more easily, I don't know, a contract, or a guaranteed drop every 50 rounds in legend. The coins you earn don't help much either. The player who plays this current event MUST have exclusive weapons and better perks, it's a long time in the same activity.

  • All you players who say " if you play legend, you should be guaranteed as drop" are killing this game. There should be drop protection period. It should not be dependent on "legendary" this or that. If you complete activities you should get rewards, period. If those rewards are special or limited by number of attempts per week or time or whatever, eventually every one should earn the reward, provided they can do the activity.

    • Another detail. At the moment I still have energy and desire for the activity, but in about 2 weeks or so, I probably won't have any more, will Bungie force me and suck all my energy just to get what I want?... It ends up leading the player to exhaustion from the game, it seems like a shot in the foot

So they need the same system that raid exotics use for their drop chance, but maybe increase the total chance increase rate by around 10% or something and guarantee drops after certain conditions or not having them drop after a long while.

      • With time gated weapons drop rates should be better I think. I came back to try the new content but I probably won’t stick around long enough. It’s not the grind. It’s the FOMO on top of the grind. I’ll grind what I can and I’m not even hyped for these weapons because bungie will nerf them again. It’s just a matter of time. And it’ll make the grind worthless because you spent all that time playing for weapons that’ll end up being mid at best after bungie puts them through the chopping block. This is bungie. They’ll never change. This has been going on since d1. I used to grind a lot until the broadsword quest which was the last nail in the coffin for me. All that grind for a weapon that didn’t live up to the hype.

      • So Crucible and Vanguard Ops, probably Gambit too (I don't touch that) drop weapons with multiple perks as you prestige. You can even get double triple perks. The doubles or triples are random, singles still drop, but they drop decently enough. We should be able to craft multiperk weapons too. This should just be the model for everything. Combining perks, one would think just ruins the grind, and makes it too easy, but nope; I've done this far too much, just trying to get the right Randy's since it was re-released, and still have not gotten it. Its definitely still a grind. It definitely feels so much more worth the chase when weapons drop with double perks too. I can just have one or two weapons, instead of a whole lineup, for specific activities. They should outright remove single perks from the game and default to double. This I feel, would help the Onslaught grind, because then, even if you're not getting shiny versions, you're still getting double perk rolls. The only special, more exclusive things really, should only be cosmetic anyway. Anything else is just being an elitist pr*ck. We all paid for the game. Very few, Im sure stick with the free version, given how insanely limited it is. This also saves on vault space, so Bungie has less to deal with there, and players can have more equipment slots open if they engage with multiple activities. They have to dig through the vault less to bring the right stuff, and we can still get Adepts and everything we already have. Bungie is always concerned about space, and this is an easy space saver. Quality over quantity is the best answer. Just my thoughts.

          • So in other words, remove the grind and get what you want for basically free? No thanks. The reason why this sounds like remove the grind to me, is very simple. Destiny at it's core is a LOOTER shooter. Take games like Diablo 4, Warframe, and whatever other looter shooters exist in current day, those games are still thriving because of this design. People are still logging in day in and day out to get what they desire. If Destiny followed the "Remove the extensive grind" the game would be incredibly boring, both sandboxes would be rampant with broken weapons (yes I'm looking at you Forebearance. Even though I have an absurdly large amount of kills with it).
