  • In my opinion, it seemingly was suppose to be basically an alternative to Divinity as it gave weaken and Volitile. Unfortunately, Bunige is afraid of us having any team synergy so buffs/debuffs don't stack and the weapon isn't even good against champs. The volitile shot isn't volitile rounds so no anti-barrier and weaken doesn't stop Overloads, suppress does. If they made it more viable as a supportive weapon like actually making the weaken debuff stronger or giving the volitile shot anti-barrier, maybe it could improve.

  • Not every exotic has to be good or viable. It just has to be exotic. Deterministic Chaos fills this role perfectly. There is no other exotic or weapon like it, and while the effects can be quite weak at times, it’s still useful in some cases.

  • I mean... divinity is butt cheeks in dmg and so is tractor. It's not meant to do tons of dps, it's a range debuff weapon.

  • So you don't have to get so close with the Tractor Cannon? I think it's equipped on my Titan right now. Seemed OK to me, but could use a buff or rework for sure.

  • It needs a buff, but overall Machine Guns just need an ammo overhaul. Machine Guns were never meant to be damage weapons, but they treat them like they are. I honestly see them as overpowered primaries, them and Swords. You choose that one if you want a bit of extra juice behind your shots, at the cost of using up your heavy, and having to monitor ammo. It's one place where I will argue that the double special bug was a good thing, because it made machine guns and swords viable as a primary. If they could just make the double special system work only in swords and machine guns, those weapon types would be better overall. That one, though, needs a bit of extra umph being an exotic. The weaken part of it is pretty great to have, but the extra volatile on it just doesn't really feel like an upgrade. It just feels like a slightly better legendary machine gun.

  • They need to just buff the damage so it actually does some sort of damage. It’s a Support weapon (like Div or Tractor) so it can’t deal too much damage, but it needs to be a bit better than what it is now…

    • It needs to be reworked. Swap the Heavy Metal and Vexadecimal proc requirements, increase the Weaken from Heavy Metal to 40%, and add an effect to Vexadecimal where Volatile detonations partially refill the magazine from reserves.

    • Prospector does more DPS… it’s honestly super disappointing. I like the gun, it’s DPS is just cheeks though. Buffs that would make it better: Keeps the bullet counter when you stop firing. Right now, if you stop firing, it resets to 0. It should keep the counter. Buff the Weaken effect. Tractor gives a 40% debuff on one shot. Hunter tether gives a 40% debuff as well, but for much, much longer. Deterministic gives an abysmal 15% debuff. It should grant a 30% debuff, bare minimum. Give it the ability to deal increased DPS to any debuffed targets. Right now, it’s in the worst archetype for Machine Guns in the game. Buff the archetype and give it the bonus I mentioned above.

    • Just delete it then it won't take up vault space, you can always require from collections if it would ever become relevant.

    • It would be a very alright exotic if the counter didn't reset when you let go of the trigger, that absolutely killed it
