Yeah, RPs could get very big. Every part of Aria (not counting the sidequest) was well over 1500 replies, and it was a six part RP. Days of Future Cats (another RP) was at something like 800, and Chasing Yarn was almost at 2000.
Even if you didn't want to count RPs for whatever reason, I had an old thread back in Gaming that was about 400. And, that wasn't even listing out numbers, it was accrued through various conversations.
And those are just my posts. There are plenty of threads by other people that I'm sure far surpass whatever I've got.

That's amazing...I knew they could get pretty lengthy I just never saw with my own eyes.. I honestly don't internet much

Mine were a bit bigger than most. I wasn't very good at making them small. Chasing Yarn was my attempt at making one small, and while it was significantly smaller than Aria, it still wound up being longer than a regular RP. :p Aria's a pretty good read if I do say so myself, if you want to see what they're like, though. Alignment's comment chains in particular were the best ones. You can find most of them through that "ariaunderwatercity" tag if you set the filter to "all time", but the first part was unfortunately missing its tag. I can still dig up a link, though. I gave them a reread not too long ago. Good fun. Though, Chasing Yarn, as mentioned, is a lot shorter so that could be a much more concise read. Less time consuming. Rad was my favorite one there. I can grab the link there as well. I wish I was better at making RPs shorter. I'd totally be down to run another one, but I just can't squeeze them into a reasonable timeframe. Aria, for instance, took [i]over a year[/i]. (which is kind of funny, because canonically it took a week of in-game time) Oh well. Would probably be hard to find the time anyway, given that I'm working on publishing more books. My third book just finished its first draft not long ago.

Although, it did just occur to me something else I have that could be a fun RP. My old format of doing RPs probably wouldn't work, but I wonder if I could adjust it to something that could. Maybe a weekly thing? Hm...
