There's no matchmaking, that's possibly a bad thing, sure; but it also prevents people being forced to play the raid with a group that may not be able to work together at all.
What is wrong with people, that prevents them from coming onto these forums to say "Hi guys, I want to do the raid. I don't have enough/any friends to play it with, is there anyone who wants to help me?"
Let's face it, if you've come onto these forums to complain, then you should be able to do that also.
I'm a casual gamer, but I wouldn't leave Destiny because it has no matchmaking for the raids. If I'm to leave Destiny it's going to be due to the lies and deceptions made by Bungivision and the parts of the game that have yet to be fixed despite them pushing another DLC out in the coming weeks.
If you're going to leave, leave for legitimate reasons not a petty one.

Matchmaking would be optional, just like strikes...if you have a fire team this would never effect you

How does the forum filter out ransoms/afk/raid farmers?

When you build the fire team you can kick the player and replace them. Match made games have no fire team leader. Next half thought out question?

Most games have a vote to kick player...its not that hard of a function...well this is destiny soo....

We're talking about Destiny so what other game offer isn't what is currently in place. Let's go to gears of war then. They offer two lobbies a host lobby and a join any game lobby. That would guarantee a fireteam leader. My point still stands matchmaking is being asked for with no suggestions of what the player would like out of the function.

I want the ability to not have to go out of the game for an hour to try to find ppl to play the game... I will likely only have 1-3 hours per week to play and Don't know when that will be (it depends if my girlfriend or I are On Call that day and the volume of patients) Im fine with having a leader or a vote to kick option (majority needed)...or a public vs private option after you select VOG... people that only have 1-2 hours tops per week should at least be able to see what is inside the VOG
