I get your frustration that there's no matchmaking for it, but here's a matchmaking site that works perfectly fine, if you don't want to use it because you don't think you need to or should have to then I can't help you there. My first raids were through this and they went fine (apart from me literally falling off the edge the second I spawned into the templar room my first time).
