Do you let you manufacturers decide how you use your car? or how to use your cuttlery? or even how to point your hose while watering plants? Taxes and laws are in no way comparable to this. If I want to use shortcuts in a game I bought, that's up to me. Bungie can set boundaries, by which I am held then; but furthermore it's up to me.

Not trying to argue with you it anything but I thought I'd point that out, it's the same thing with games they can't make you play how they want but if you don't then they can do what they want. After all it is their game and they decide what the intended way to use something is.
Do you let you manufacturers decide how you use your car?
When you buy a car the laws of your state dictate many things you can and cannot do with that car. When you buy a game from Activision and use it online Sony or Microsoft can dictate many things you can and can't do with that game.
