From personal experience Plasmas are the worst TV for gaming for exactly the reasons OP listed.
It's not bungies fault but your suggestion is a good one although I don't know what you are talking about when you say that every other game in existence has this feature? I've NEVER seen it on a console game.
Go LED or LCD, it's better for gaming and i think you can use some sort of insane video loop that should get rid of it or a static image.

Ok saying every other game is a slight exaggeration but most games do. And the ones that don't offer customizable huds usually don't have solid colored ones so it's not completely necessary. Destiny is just a big offender especially in the day of modern games. See battlefield 4 for how a customizable hud should be done.

I'm all for customizable HUD's for sure. Ha and destiny is awful for the lack of options 100% agree there man....goddam wish i could turn the music/Sound effects down individually.
