Oh, that is absolutely ridiculous. I have had 3 different plasma tvs in the last 5 years and spend probably 75% of my time gaming on them. I'm actually on a Panasonic VT50 now. If yours is suffering from permanent burn-in than you have a defective television.

Is it ridiculous to ask for the option of a transparent hud? I don't think so.

I also would almost guarantee you could not see the image retention watching television. I am a geek and there is not ONE tv on the market that doesn't have visual issues. If you're the type who's going to be anal about them, well, you're not going to have a good time. Go try that green screen test on a Sony LED, see what you get.... Stop overanalyzing every minor issue as EVERY tv has an issue or 2.....
