Keep in mind Panasonic is the best manufacturer of plasma TV's. They got all their patents from a company called Elite which was owned by Pioneer. The Elite is still made today and is recognized as one of the best LED TV's on today's market, they are made by Sharp. Nothing but the best components go in these units. In fact a lot of companies now mimic the features of the Elite and change the name a bit to avoid copyright infringement.
