The plasma market was killed because they cost too much to make. Pioneer had the best technology and sold it to Panasonic because plasma wasn't profitable. The TV industry was able to convince people LCD was the best. Now most people have LCDs with 60hz or 120hz that ghost like no tomorrow. I'd take a cheap plasma over a mid range LCD/LED any day. Too bad that's about to end this year.
