dude if that happens to your tv, either your tv is old as -blam!- or your store selled you some sh*t. this was fixed years ago. and yes, I work in that business edit: "best picture you can buy!" that lasts for half a year or so. its a gas, that can escape in older tvs = below average picture plasma need a damn huge amount of power. try oled if you can afford it, better in any point.

Panasonic ST50, only a little over a couple years old. Edit: Oled had its own issues as well other than the stupidly high cost. My friends pioneer kuro from years ago still works and looks amazing. So plasma definitely has a higher shelf life than a couple years.

  • Yes, but I bought it new around a year after launch lol. Panasonic plasmas rate above almost all other tv's. You really think I would have bought an LG plasma? Ha...Samsung was the only other trusted manufacturer at the time.

  • Panasonic is the best in plasmas. But its also an old technology. Oled is much better quality pending on brand and model. Cant by something cheap.

  • True, but oled isn't perfect unfortunately. It's only been on the tv market for a short time and some people are reporting burn in problems just like plasma and loss of blue color. It's a shame, oled is extremely promising, but still an infant tv tech for the most part. And of course the price is currently outrages for anyone who has bills to pay and can't spend all their extra money for a tv.
