People get bored of games and move on, Destiny is no exception. Just two weeks ago over 3 million people logged on for Crota's hard raid, I don't think we are hurting for players.

  • This. Its crazy that we have this attitude of the game dying when numbers like that come out. Bungie is on track for 11 million daily users by Destiny 2

  • They already have 17 million registered users, of which only 3 million remain. Want to bet that number gets even smaller after HoW releases and those people who bought the expansion packs get fed up with zero return leave?

  • Do you think that matters? They average 3 million daily. This game does not require constant users. No monthly fee. No micro transactions. They've doubled their money. Not including DLC. They'll market Comet and let's not forget comet brings exclusive PS content to Xbox. $$$. Bungie only cares and should only care about maintaining a 2 to 3 million daily users. As some people leave more will job with each follow-up add-on. Those who are absent now will most likely return for the new raid etc. Hardly a user problem. Maybe in this forum the opinion is such... Realty, Bungie made their money.

  • After HoW it's a different story. Many, many people who have only stayed this long because they bought the expansion pass will be done. Comet will sell no where near what the game did and expansion packs 3 and 4 will flop. For many more Destiny 2 is even off the pre order list. This game has troubles, whether you want to believe it or not. 14 million walking away from your 10yr franchise in the first 6 months is not a good sign.

  • That's a lot of assumption. Its all assumption so to speak, but that's a huge assumption on your part. 3 million people still play daily 3 months after the last content drop. New or old it doesn't matter. How many people left after initial sales means nothing, bungie still has that money. Comet doesn't need to sell anywhere near launch numbers. Enough will be sold just for exclusive content. The player base will either increase or stay the same there after with spikes each following update. They don't need 17 million users. They only require a fee million player base and like so many before you talking about this game dying... It hasn't 3.2 mill daily users November. 3 million now. Its not dead and people have been using the assumption you are since launch. Its still here. They almost tripled the cost of the initial game and the framework for the next 4 updates has already been laid out. The cost to bungie is miniscule at best. Even if 2 million people buy Comet. Success. Sorry, the game isn't going anywhere. Doomsday isn't coming.
