Iron Banner is SO SO SO Laggy!!!!
Iron Banner is so laggy. Bungie, you really need to look at regional locks on matchmaking. Some argue low population as the motivation for not implementing regional locks. However, for me, I just log out. I just played 2 or 3 matches, and ALL were laggy. Bungie, as a company you should be embarrassed at the state of your game.

2 RepliesYeah this needs attention. After it happened a couple times yesterday I recorded two instances where players teleported or were invincible. One replay I saved even showed the guy one shotting me through a wall because of the lag. I don't have connection issues with Overwatch or Rocket League or any other online game for that matter.

2 RepliesYup, emptying a clip into an opponent, not doing any damage to them, and watch them shrug it all off as they one-shot you with a punch. Either people are cheating like crazy or the connection to the servers is trash.

They either don’t care, don’t care about hackers and net-limiters, or are incompetent. Idk which, but it’s uh. It’s frustrating.

Its always been something that I've seen a little bit here and there, just the normal stuff every game gets, then there's this week... The lag is horrible, ever since the update, Tuesday. I've personally never had these connection issues in this game, or at least thry weren't noticeable, and the matches are noticeably different from first IB week this season too. It seems like they tweaked matchmaking, made it worse, and broke something in the process because I can only do a couple of rounds before I just can't deal with it. I hate it. I'd like to enjoy I.B. like the first week but I don't think its going to happen. Either a ton of people discovered some new way trying to exploit lag to try and gain advantage, or Bungie does what they do best and broke something. Seems like players are 2-3 seconds out of sync, some even freezing mid jump in the air for a second. Since reset, every single time I log in I have to go do some random sh*t until the first guaranteed disconnect within 5 minutes happens and takes me to the menu to log back in, then deal with the lag. It takes longer to load, its getting stuck on the after match report or even a black screen for extended periods. There's huge chunks of time between matches where the player number counter won't even load. I've also noticed these load problems on PvE side too.

This is insanely bad.. I have been around awhile and have never seen it like this. It amazes me that a video game company this large is letting this product exist in this state and the attitude from them is everything is fine buy the new season.

That why I refused play IB this week… I just finished up 1 week of IB as quick as I can to get emblem or shader for it cuz I hate fortress and it is very unplayable to me.

2 RepliesYup, all sbmm is. Get the shader, get tf out of pvp until forced to do so for pinnacles in Lightfall. I used to carry a 2.0+ until every player I face shoots thru walls and doesn't take damage, it's a straight up $#!+ show

1 ReplyI have played 20 matches today and there were multiple players lagging all over the place. I have played this game since the beta in 2014 and this is the worst its ever been. It is consistently horrible. I have great internet so it isn't me. 500 mb up. 200 mb down. 6ms latency. Bungie should just sunset the crucible if they aren't going to support it.

I wanted to play around 10 matches or so before saying anything because in my first two there was some bad and when I did I gotta say pretty much every match I've played so far have had players desyncing and do the wall run and the teleporting is bad too as well as I've had 3 people so far who are not taking damage as I'm dealing it though thank goodness they've been dying when the threshold is met though there is a delay and the titan shield and child of the old gods bug where they become immune is still a problem I got trapped in a corner because the ceiling was too low to jump over and didn't want to become one shot on the other side because I had pings on the radar so I had to wait for it to despawn which was annoying.

Okay I thought I was the only one experiencing this. It's not just Iron Banner but I'm seeing this happen in Crucible, such as high end like Comp. It's so bad. It makes the gameplay unplayable. I've decided not to return to Crucible until it's addressed or someone responds with some public feedback from Bungie/Destiny 2 devs. The lag is so bad I feel it in my controller pulling me in weird directions. That was the straw that broke the camel's back on that one. I was like nah I tapping out of this broken crap. All these weird bugs in their game man.

I played one match so it’s not much of litmus test but the one match was hands down the laggiest PVP experience I’ve ever had in D2. I was forced into a respawn a couple times just moving from cap points but the best was killing a Titan, having his name register as defeated and watch him try to cap a zone and then just instantly vanish. Somehow I got 21 kills in the lag fest and we won. I’ll try more later tonight but that was hysterical to watch and be a part of with the disappearing players.
