Adding kindling bug not fixed for me after today's reset
Last week I had added large kindling to my titan's solstice armor, skipping the step where you have to add small kindling. Now I am getting prompted to add small kindling to the armor, but neither do I have small kindling nor are there are kindling slots left on my armor. This persists after today's weekly reset, and after having installed the Destiny update.
I had also put kindling in most of my hunter's armor, but then spent some on the titan armor. Result: I am also stuck in step 9 of the "A Glowing Solstice" quest. Btw, The hunter armor has no slots to put kindling or ember in it. It's apparently completely upgraded.
The patch notes state this has been fixed.

Since I had completed all solstice challenges last week as well, there is no kindling available for me to earn.
My guess is that the quest is meant as an account-wide activity, but adding kindling or imbuing ember is per character. Bungo, you simply need to bring all solstice armor pieces on each character of a given account to the highest level of kindling and ember present on any solstice armor of a given type (i.e. helmet, chest piece, etc.), is that too hard for you to figure? Go let someone write a database script and fix this!

Such an incompetent company! Can’t even get their own event to work properly. Bungie is no longer a AAA developer. They are a joke! Guess there is no need to login and play for another week. You should be embarrassed Bungie and your leadership should be replaced.

Having the persistent kindling pop-up issue? Try this workaround! Go to the tower. Visit the quest kiosk to the left of the post office. Reclaim the solstice quest. Visit Eva and reclaim a piece of armor. Apply silver ash to it. If you don't have silver leaves, run a quick bonfire bash. Return to Eva. She will offer silver leaves, DO NOT ACCEPT, just back out and leave Eva. The quest will show unfinished on her, but the kindling pop-up will be gone.

This year's solstice falling flat. Armor glow is not working properly. Still have quest step to add kindling when all challenges are completed and armor fully upgraded/rekindled. The only glow I have is on gloves. This is on the warlock, which I have been using primarily. When I switch to Hunter and Titan, those classes have full glows. All I did on those two other classes was equip the armor before completing solstice on my warlock.

My Hunter and Titan are unplayable right now. Didn't even get the exotics last week.

This is really a shame… it’s hard to believe a company as big as Bungie does not test or cannot hot fix problems like this for the amount of money we gamers put into their game you think they would care about us a little bit more, and a bit less about the items in there micro transactions store.

Still the same annoyance and on all characters. It’s impossible to play to the full potential with screen partially blocked. Not being able to see your Special Ammo count is truly dysfunctional.

It’s actually fixed for me now. For both of my alts just had to embue glowing embers into an armor piece. Visit Eva and get five free silver leaves. The quest itself remains unfinishable since every piece of kindling available is required to complete the quest on one character. But the annoying hint screen has disappeared! Hooray!

2 RepliesI too am still having this issue. My Titan and Hunter have been basically unplayable for the whole event so far. It blocks the UI for cooldowns and ammo count. It also pushes subtitles very close to the reticle for most weapons. https://youtu.be/MeNMWCD31_s
