Stop listening to sweaty players they are ruined the whole experience for everyone! They are making your game unplayable for new players and returning players
This is is why I don't like sweaty players you guys want everyone to enjoy the game the way you want to enjoy it, which is not usually fun for everyone. People don't want to sit in a piece of content that should take you 40 minutes to an hour, but instead you sit there for 2 hours one small mistake of an enemy slipped behind you it's all -blam!-. No one is gonna go back and do another round for 2 hours people have a life! That's the reason people quit legend mode multiple times.
It's always great to be challenged but you shouldn't have an instance where you're challenged you're about to finish it one mistake you have to redo everything. it's almost like bungee wants players to follow the whole design be flawless if not too bad do it again. Can you imagine if you did a raid and you were forced to go flawless on your first attempt on raid release day!...
Another reason I don't like sweaty players because all you guys do is blame people that oh it's your build or oh it's your team, even when deep down you know that the content is unbalanced; Its unbalanced when it takes one small enemy to destroy the entire activity and to take more bullets than a raid boss. Ex look at division 2 when legendary mode came out it was so unbalanced some people including the best Division 2 players on twitch couldn't even do the first 2 minutes of a raid! It's common sense you defend a machine on legend like normal, but if the enemies become grandmaster enemies the machine should have more defense as you progress to wave 50 or 45. ex one enemy should not be able to hit the machine like he's on steroids. #destiny2 #bungie Though community and bungee needs to understand is the video game it's supposed to be fun it's not fun to sit there do the content and you have to redo it just because of one small mistake.

I am not a sweat , but they shouldn't listen to Casuals Casuals killed D2 Vanilla Casuals are trying to kill D2 Final Shape by saying everything is too hard Casuals killed character progression, something all MMOs and Loot games are based on , because they couldn't be bothered to actually play the game

I mean Ig I can agree with you on some aspects of this? If you don't want to invest an hour in onslaught just make a lfg to farm the first 10 waves, you can farm as many as you want/have time for. You can leave whenever you want in the normal one's (ik it's kinda a jerk move but people usually join right after you leave)

Edited by waterpolo1: 4/18/2024 10:02:07 AMHere we go again. OP has replied enough times to make another one of these. OP is an idiot. 1: OP picked the hardest difficulty of an activity and complains that sweats made the whole playlist hard. In reality you have 3 choices: normal up to wave 10, normal up to wave 50, and legend up to wave 50. Keep this one in mind it makes a return down the list. 2: Op says they do not have time to play this activity again after they spent 2 hours just to fail. OP also says they "practice 5 hours a day." Make of these contradictory statements as you will. 3: Looking at his states OP is almost always hovering in the bottom of his fireteam with under 100 kills while the rest of his fire team is pushing 200-500 kills. This is the person saying that 1 mistake should not cost a reset. What was that one and only mistake? Having the OP on the fireteam? 4: This was foreshadowed but OP said this game has no difficulty settings. Que the womp womps. 5: OP has major fomo because they really want that emblem and they keep calling others who are good enough to get it "selfish." They could play on normal up to 50 and get all the same weapon rewards, but god forbid that the people who are better then him get something like an emblem. 6: OP actually thought that someone was saying that they were brothers. 7: OP says "people have lives." Which is true. But no one with a life cares if they can't do all 50 waves of something on the hardest difficulty setting. They really do not care. Plus just a few years ago playing a video game meant that you did not have a life in the eyes of most people. Repeating this tired trope is as good as pointing a finger back at yourself. 8: OP claims to speak for the people, despite others who cannot beat legend wave 50 saying that it is not a big deal. 9)OP complains the people disagreeing with him are reading only title but not the post. This is wrong. If people took the time to read the post and his replies, this post would have 0 upvotes. 10) OP tells others that they have a reading problem instead of him having a writing problem or a problem admitting he's wrong. People like the OP should never be listened to. Nothing is ever enough for people like this. Look at how trails giving out free adepts is still not good enough for these type of people. They are even complaining that the 40 minute timer for the whisper mission is too short. The only thing this thread was good for was that I learned the name of the glob of toothpaste on my toothbrush.

Agreed! We should listen to the players who play once a month! /s

It's important to have content catered towards EVERY level of skill. But not all content has to be accessible to EVERY player. Modes that Require High Skill: Trials of Osiris GMs Raids Level 50 Onslaught Modes that require some Skill: Dungeons Nightfalls (Not GM) Competitive Legend Lost Sectors Medium level Onslaught Modes that require NO skill: Strikes 6v6 PVP modes Gambit Basic Onslaught Seasonal Activities It would be silly to only have "no skill" activities, just like it would be silly to only have modes that require "High skill." A balance is what is needed, and that's what we've got.

Lore-Deity - old
Agree catering to casuals (more power, more space magic, more loot, less difficulty) will definitely be better for the long term health of the game … remember the bitter addicts will play anyway -
This is why I revel when I get the same stinking EMBLEM as they do! This is why I won't join CONTROL FREAK LFG posts. Took about 15 teams, but I got my emblem Thursday, maybe Friday. There are good/great players in LFG. Oh, and guess what --I DID WITHOUT YOU telling my what to wear. We did it with two hunters and me switching b/t lock strand and well. oh, and minimal comms. You know, I've noticed too, most those guardians that THINK they are sherpas or gods --aren't! They blame when something goes wrong. WEAK, very weak. I understand what you're saying, but just keep going. I don't let them discourage me. Plus, I've already seen posts for help and LFG posts willing to help. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE AWAY YOUR FUN! Maybe we don't get paid or get it as fast -- but we get it!

Lightfall killed the power fantasy aspect of the game for me. The player guardian has slaughtered entire pantheons, I understand that some people wanted more of a challenge. But that's no excuse for a thrall taking three magazines just to get it in finisher range. At this point in destiny's life cycle, weaker enemies should flee from us like they flee from the witness. I remember a time when bullet sponge enemies were a bad thing that bungie worked to remove, now that's all they give us. It's kinda sad if you ask me, it's also the most artificial way to "boost difficulty".
-
"all they do is blame people" Yet you type an essay blaming sweaty players for your own shortcomings lol
-
Ok, do normal mode. Problem solved.
-
Edited by Zodleon: 4/15/2024 9:43:12 PMBruh, just say you're bad and want content suited to your skill level. Happens to all kinderguardians eventually. You have those options btw but you want to mold the game to suit you specifically. Which is just entitled.
-
Just play normal mode dude
-
maybe just stick to normal difficulty and stop whining

What is a sweaty player to you?

Edited by Ghillieghost: 4/15/2024 7:36:57 PMDid you know the glob of toothpaste on your toothbrush is called a nurdle?

Sounds like a skill issue

Agree an this is exactly why I won't purchase final shape same as alot of other players, I've never been a f2p for d2 I will be from now on if I continue to play I'm done with bullet sponges for bosses an I'm not a bad player I have done gms ,master raids, raids, legend exotic quests solo, dungeons even used to solo master nightfalls in 2018 2019 but since the difficulty increase in endgame content I don't engage with it anymore ,so I see no point in purchasing the dlc for example im a deluxe owner an haven't done a dungeon since spire was released which was ok but again bullet sponge bosses especially when done solo ,last exotic quest I failed was wicked implement after that I stopped playing for quite some time . I play now since iv got a 2 months of my daily grind/work, don't get me wrong I like the game I even solod the newest exotic quest that I'm aware of for the strand bow but I ain't doing it again lol ,an all I could think about att of doing that mission was if my mate tried this solo he'd be pulling his hair out an he's got 1000s of hours clocked into this game . Lastly I asked saltagreppo one of d2 suppose main players why he doesn't do all blue solo runs on gms anymore? since he's in the worlds first raiders( if you ignore alot of these players except salta were banned for cheating ) I digress anyway his answer was its not worth the time an effort an isn't really doable nowadays ,so if that doesn't tell you enough about how bungie overtweaked endgame content round the meta an to suit sweats an players that play this game for a living/income I don't know what will.

Bump. It has definitely led to increased player decline. Some idiot takes over and thinks they know what we want and hurts the game. I don’t even go to nemuna or whatever it’s called, destination sucks.
-
Good info....I've been saying this for a while. Last time, I got so many salty comments. But basically, the mechanics make this game not fun. Why, but why MUST you have to do everything PERFECT. If not, you have to start over. THAT right there is NOT fun. It's a game for GOD'S sake. You play to have fun, NOT to sweat your butt off.
-
But I do think that Bungie just blindly turned up the difficulty everywhere without (as per usual) even analyzing the player base and how different player personas are. This is strange, considering they are putting a lot of effort into that new-player experience. Most of the complaints are coming from casual and new players. And people who are defending this difficulty level - try-hards only - which is not a majority of the players - also sadly enough, try-hards are often content creators with a lot of out-reach and influence and so Bungie thinks that this is community feedback - but in reality, content creators are try-hard because that's the only way to create good enough content that people really want to watch.
-
Bungie needs to stop listening to angry ragers like you. Every time you people fail at something above your skill level it's the games fault or someone else's fault. This is nothing new. Children have been throwing these temper tantrums since the arcade era. I've seen crybabies get mad over not being to get past world 1 of mario brothers. Beating wave 50 in ODST is harder than this and it is still fun. Beating wave 50 in Gears of War 2 and 3 is harder than this and they are still fun. Getting to wave 50 in zombies is harder than this and it is still fun. I was like you once too, unable to beat a game on anything other than easy difficulty. Then I got older and better. Stopped blaming others for my own lack of skill. This is nowhere near as "sweaty" as you make it out to be.
-
I'm gonna say like this if you guys are not gonna be respectful and read the post read the title read the main idea don't bother to comment. This is not about what I want this is about what the community wants based on what I read based on what I watched! This is not about what a group of people want this is about what is best for the community. There was a time that bungee made choices in destiny one Based on everyone not only on sweaty players feedback! You guys really need to use your common sense if players are reliant on glitches like the battery glitch scrap glitch in legend clearly it's unbalanced. That's what usually happens with games that have unbalanced content players end up being desperate enough to try to use glitches even though some companies take action. Example a couple years ago players in division 2 got banned for using glitches they received a 14 day ban. Some players even got their Microsoft account banned. Bungee is just one of those companies they don't have strict rules that's why PVP players can easily cheat and get away with it.
-
It’s almost like Bungie made the mode for the better players, but still have it so even if you can’t beat all 50 waves you still get some loot from the easier early rounds
-
There’s elective difficulty options for a reason. Many players like playing harder content. If that’s not you, no problem. There’s 3 versions of the mode, only one of which is a hard mode.
-
Why bother doing legend if it’s ruining your experience?
-
Hard content is meant to be hard content. That’s what it is….?
